Applications

The dry drum magnetic separator serves in the primary stage of separation bu being the head pulley on a conveyor belt. This enables it to remove waste stones before they go to the crusher. In doing the amount needing to be crushed is reduced saving time, wear and tear and putting less contaminants into the stream that would go out to the tailings later. The material size can be up to 300mm.
Magnetic Pulley Features
1. The drum body can be made from cheap ferrite magnets .The max magnetic strength can be up to 15000GS if made from powerful rare earth magnets.
2. Surface material is 304 or 316L stainless steel which is in good corrosion resistance.
3. No electric power required for magnetic field generation.
4. A special design for two ends of the pulley is in order to connect with a motor.
5. An automatic separation system can be formed if the pulley works together with the conveyor.
6. Special requirement can be custom made.
7. The quality rare earth magnets used are long lasting and of a high magnetic force. The demagnetization is less than a 5% change per every 8 years.
8. The magnetic unit is well protected in a stainless steel shell.
9. The installation dimensions are standardized at DT75 to fit a standard DTII conveyor belt for easy installation.
10.Outer bearings allow for convenient maintenance.
11.The half moon magnet structure helps keep material from getting inside the conveyor belt for a safer, cleaner and easier maintenance and operation.
12.They are able to act as the drive pulley for belts up to 100m long.
Technical Features
◆ The magnetic system is made of NdFeB material with strong magnetic force, large magnetic penetration depth, high remanence and high coercive force, ensuring a high magnetic field intensity on the surface of the drum. The magnetic system is covered with stainless steel protection to ensure that the magnet block will never falloff.
◆ The drum body is made of high-quality stainless steel, which can not only improve the wear resistance of the drum, but also extend the service life of the drum, and is suitable for various harsh environments.
◆ Non-magnetic stainless steel is used between the drum main shaft and the magnetic system to ensure that there is no magnetic leakage transmitted to the main shaft, thereby ensuring the smooth operation of the bearing.
